One standout feature of the menu is the Panini selection, where each creation promises a burst of flavor. Take, for instance, the Italian Panini with capicola ham, Genoa salami, pepperoni, provolone, marinated onions, and roasted red pepper Parmesan mayo—a symphony of Italian flavors encased in toasted perfection. Or the Grilled Portabello Panini, a vegetarian delight that pairs robust mushrooms with feta cheese, roasted red peppers, and marinated red onion on grilled Italian bread.
Breakfast enthusiasts will be equally delighted by the Omelettes and hearty breakfast sandwiches. The Meat Lovers Omelette, packed with bacon, ham, sausage, and cheese, is perfect for those looking to start their day with a substantial feast. Meanwhile, the Veggie Omelette brings together fresh spinach, mushrooms, and bell peppers for a healthier option that doesn't skimp on flavor.
And for those craving something crispy, the deep-fried Mozzarella Sticks and Sweet Potato Fries come highly recommended. Reviewers appreciate that even when ordered for delivery, these sides arrive perfectly crispy, not soggy—a testament to the cafe's dedication to quality.

Ordered David and Dad's for a corporate lunch. The food was ready on time and the order was 100% accurate! The food was delicious. Two things that stuck out to me with this order - The fried foods (Mozzarella Sticks and Sweet potato fries) were not soggy at all by time I got it to the office, but perfectly fresh, and the shrimp in the shrimp salad are jumbo shrimp, not teensy tiny shrimp. Additionally, the staff was wonderful. As soon as I walked in, someone offered to help me, and when I had questions about the order I was helped kindly and efficiently. Definitely recommend. The customer service just made everything beyond amazing. Thank you David and Dad's!
First off, the building is amazing. It's an old bank turned into a restaurant. The doors are a little hard to open but it's pretty cool looking. We went here 2 days in a row and if we were staying longer, we'd go everyday. The staff were very friendly. You go up to the counter to order then to another counter to pay. We happened to go both days right before the rush. The first day we ordered lunch because we had a late start in the morning. My turkey and provolone panini was so hot and delicious. My husband's chicken souvlaki was a lot of food and also delicious. The second day we made it to breakfast. We both got the power breakfast sandwich and shared a bowl of fresh fruit. It was just what we needed, something healthy! Service was fast and the prices were reasonable. If we ever go back to Baltimore, we will definitely go back there.
Really great place! Stopped in for a quick breakfast. The staff here were very warm and welcoming, and were helpful in answering our questions. We ordered at the counter and then took a seat with our number. I had one of the breakfast burritos which was good and very filling. My partner had the BALT and a side of home fries. This was also very good. This place is inside an interesting old building with seating next to the large windows, very lovely space.
I'm a fan of David and Dad's Catering. Whenever they cater events, I'm pleased with the boxed lunches or the hot food. To be clear, they do not have extravagant flavors or elaborate presentations, but it's simple food that works for business lunches, meetings, etc. GLOWS: -They have an expansive menu of hot and cold options. You can mix and match to create your desired menu. -The dessert options are simple but pretty good -Although I have never been, they have a nice cafe location as well... as Ive seen driving by!
Great breakfast spot that is walkable from many downtown hotels including the Lord Baltimore Hotel. I enjoyed the breakfast bowl, the sage pork breakfast sausage and fine coffees. My wife loved her pancakes. The home made biscuits with sausage gravy were a huge hit.
Inside an old bank, this nondescript breakfast joint serves up tasty food at a fair price point. The portion sizes are pretty good and the service is friendly, with hard working staff. It is a bit confusing to find, and the layout is also a bit confusing, but I think it is more like cafeteria style than a greasy spoon. I also wish they provided more drink offerings than just coffee and smoothies. Sure, they offer juice, but only in a bottle. Some fresh squeezed orange juice would really help, but they do not provide that here. The little critiques should not deter you from eating here. However, I would get here early as it gets busy and the surrounding parking area fills up quickly.
Solidly good breakfast place that I'd recommend to others. I appreciated it's grab-and-go / quick service style. When I want breakfast, I want it now. And the food is QUICK. Plus, the prices are very affordable. I had a breakfast platter and a smoothie. My friend had a breakfast sandwich and grits. You pay after you eat. Just don't lose your receipt!
On a recent trip to Baltimore we checked out David and Dad's cafe for breakfast. They had several options for both grab and go as well as sit and eat. Order at the counter and it's brought to your table. Pricing is fairly reasonable being a tourist area and the atmosphere was pleasant as David and Dad's operates out of an old bank building. The architectural details were lovely. My French toast was one of the best plates of French toast I've had in awhile. Crisp cinnamon edges with the soft not over gooey centers. Cinnamon butter melting upon the top was literally the icing on the cake. Took it to the next level. His meat lovers omelet was full of meat and cooked perfectly. Side of sausage and scrapple were somewhat skimpy but overall our experience was a positive one.
Ordered a small fruit salad, a veggie wrap and a bottle of milk. Food was in general OK. The portion was relatively small compared to other breakfast/brunch restaurants I have been to. The price was pretty friendly and service was quick. The restaurant was not very clean though.
